Alejandro Escovedo appeared in Grand Rapids on 12Jan10 to give a concert and to also promote awareness of his skill on the basketball court. Preliminary polls indicate he could very likely be the top seed in the tourney this year. Escovedo is deadly with his unconventional 'thumbs up' free throw shots.
